Tehran, May 8, 2018(IRNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Tuesday that the US is the root cause of distrust at the international scene as they simply ignore their commitments.

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting head of Brazil-Iran parliamentary friendship group in Tehran on Tuesday.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for ten times put seal of approval on Iran's commitment to its pledges, he said, adding that in fact this is the US who failed to remain committed to its commitments and has created waves of distrust at the international community.

Grounds for expansion of economic cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Brazil are well prepared which should be further activated, Larijani said.

The UN and UNSC approved Iran's nuclear deal with G5+1, but it was the US that failed to remain committed to the JCPOA, he said.

Larijani also called for expansion of economic cooperation between Iran and Brazil, and said expansion of banking cooperation should be on the agenda and the two sides chamber of commerce should broaden scope o cooperation.

Brazilian envoy, for his part, called for expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries, and said the two sides' ambassadors can help improve and expand economic and political relations between the two sides.
