Tehran, Seoul ties to promote regional, int’l peace, security: SKorean MP
Tehran, Nov 22, 2107(IRNA) – Head of South Korea-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group Chun Jung-bae said on Tuesday that expansion of cooperation between Iran and South Korea will help ensure regional and international peace and security.
Promoting ties with Iran in all fields is at the center of South Korean parliament’s attention, he said in a meeting with the Iranian head of the friendship group Assadollah Abbasi, during which the Korean lawmaker also expressed pleasure over his visit to Tehran.
Chun stressed importance of improved relations in various fields and called for removingg obstacles in the way of bolstering cooperation between the two countries.
The Iranian lawmaker referred to the history of relations between the two countries, saying that boosting bilateral ties plays a crucial role in economic development of both countries, which will in turn help ensure the two nations’ interests.
Underlining the significance of Iran-South Korea parliamentary ties, Abbassi said that upgrading parliamentary cooperation will greatly help remove hurdles in the way of mutual collaboration.
He also referred to destructive measures of the US to undermine peace and security across the world and said that due to the country’s overt and covert interferences, global crises have emerged from Korean Peninsula to Middle east and other regions.
