Tehran, September 8, 2021 (ICANA) – Iranian Member of Parliament Mojtaba Rezakhah hoped for developing parliamentary and economic relations between Iran and India.
Speaking in a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh Narayan Singh which was held on the sidelines of the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Vienna, Rezakhah said parliamentary relations and regular meetings between the representatives of the Indian and Iranian parliaments are one of the solutions for removing obstacles to economic interactions.
There are several areas of cooperation and projects that both countries benefit from by reinforcing relations.
He appreciated India for sending COVID19 vaccine and media equipment to Iran, saying Iran has confirmed Indian vaccine as effective.
Harivansh Narayan Singh, for his part, said Iran-India relations are not limited to political interactions.
Parliamentary relations have a more important role in strengthening relations between countries, and we must use this capacity.
India attaches importance to Chabahar Port, he said adding that it can be a channel to send aid to the people and bring them back to life.
India was severely damaged by the corona but with effort and perseverance became a country that could save people from the disease, he said adding that 700 million people in India have been vaccinated.
