Speaker calls for expansion of Iran-Mauritania ties
Tehran, Jan 17, 2018(IRNA) – Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran on Wednesday urged all-out expansion of Iran-Mauritania cooperation.
Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Chairman of Mauritania's Parliament Muhamed Cheikh on the sidelines of the 13th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC member states (PUIC).
He said there are vast grounds for cooperation between Iran and Mauritania and the 13th PUIC provides a suitable opportunity for identifying grounds for expansion of relations.
Cheikh, for his part, said Mauritania is an Islamic country, interested in closer ties with its brother country, i.e. the Islamic Republic of Iran.
'I do extend warm greetings of my speaker to you and I hope that the meeting will bring the best achievements for Muslim countries.'
