Tehran, Sept 14, 2020 (ICANA) – President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said that if some Arab governments are trying to force the normalization of ties with the Israeli regime under the pressure of arrogant tyrants, their nations should be paid attention because the people of these countries are not willing to tolerate the Zionist regime.
Qalibaf made the remarks in a meeting with Former Prime Minister of Iraq Nouri al-Maliki in Tehran on Monday.
He referred to the importance of Iran and Iraq parliaments' activities, saying that lawmakers can create the context for people's satisfaction by closely monitoring the implementation of the laws, and achieving this will be a factor of unity.
He also alluded to the characteristics of governance in the Islamic society, noting that, If the authorities of countries, especially Muslim countries, perform their duties well, the enemies' conspiracies will undoubtedly be thwarted.
He underlined that if the presence and role of people and nations become strong, governments will also become strong.
Accordingly, if today it is observed that some governments are trying to normalize relations with the Zionist regime under the pressure of arrogant tyrants, their nations should be paid attention because the people of these countries are not willing to tolerate the domination of the arrogant, he reiterated.
The speaker praised the Iraqi parliament's decision to withdraw the United States from Iraq and called it an important step.
Meanwhile, al-Maliki appreciated Iran’s Supreme Leader and other officials for supporting Resistance Axis, regional security and stability.
He called for standing against normalizing ties with the Zionist regime by maintaining convergence and consultations.
I believe that powerful nations will be able to stand against foreigners’ penetration, he said.
If governments surrender enemies’ pressures, nations will resist, he stated.
