Tehran, Feb 14, 2018(IRNA) – Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Wednesday that the US created terrorism in Iraq through triggering devastating war in the country, reiterated that one day the same terrorists will take the lives of their current supporters.
Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with the Chairman of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee David McAllister in Tehran on Wednesday.
Banking relations with Europe has not improved within the JCPOA and proposing that Europe will make decision on the economic issues away from the US will be very promising, he said.
Iran welcomes initiation of talks between Iranian parliament, Central Bank of Iran (CBI) with the EU representatives on expansion of banking cooperation, he said.
Iran pays due attention to the expansion of economic cooperation with the EU as its traditional partner, Larijani said.
Chairman of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, for his part, said the EU welcomed expansion of trade exchanges with Iran from early stages of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
In post-JCPOA era, the number of European tourists who visited Iran increased six folds, he said, adding that Europe welcomes expansion of cooperation with the European Investment Bank in the Islamic Republic of Iran along with other security affairs such as war or fight against Daesh terrorist group.
'We are some 28 European countries totally independent from the US, he said, adding, 'Our policy is independent, the European banks are independent from the US, President Trump not only has problems with you and the JCOPA but also he is at odds in various issues with us such as Paris accord on climate, Palestine and the likes.'
Europe is to broaden cooperation with Iran, he said, adding that Europe is to define that its stance totally differs with the US in dealing with Iran.
