Tehran, Feb 11, 2020 (ICANA) - Special aide to the President of the Islamic parliament of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian said media and public diplomacy play major part in declaring realities of Afghanistan and the region.
Speaking in a meeting with Afghan media delegation, Amir Abdollahian stressed the importance of developing friendly ties between Iran and Afghanistan.
Criticizing US’ dual policy with regard to terrorism and White House support of ISIS, he referred to transferring some of Daesh leaders from Syria and Iraq to Afghanistan.
He also lauded the great role of Martyr IRGC Quds Force Commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani in fighting ISIS terrorists, saying ISIS has been able to revive its operational core in Afghanistan.
US’ assassination of the Iranian commander was clear example of state terrorism which has resulted in promoting national integration and aroused regional people’s hatred against this unfair act.
Elaborating on the regional developments, Amir Abdollahian said Iran is determined to develop all-out relations with neighbors.
Meanwhile, Afghan journalists congratulated on the 41st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory.
They also called for taking advantage of opportunities for developing cooperation.
Reinforcing interactions will be an achievement for both nations, they reiterated.
