Tehran, Sept 16, 2020 (ICANA) – Chairman of Iran-China parliamentary friendship group Ahmad Amir-Abadi Farahani slammed US intervention in Iran and China affairs, saying two countries have a lot in common with regard to international issues like fighting US' unilateralism and its bullying behaviors.
Amir-Abadi Farahani made the remarks in a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Iran Chang Hua.
He expressed congratulations over the arrival of Chinese national day, saying both countries can take advantage of the upcoming 50th anniversary of Iran and China diplomatic relations in line with reinforcing friendship among two nations.
US' aggressive policies namely imposition of cruel sanctions against Iran and Chinese people are doomed to failure, he said stressing on development of cooperation for fighting US' sanctions.
US by pulling out of Iran nuclear deal and imposing unilateral sanctions against Iran showed that it has never been committed to international agreements, Amir-Abadi Farahani added.
Referring to two countries' cooperation in fighting coronavirus, he said Iran was among the first countries which sympathized with Chinese people by sending humanitarian aid.
Consequently, China helped Iran in fighting COVID19, he reiterated.
Referring to the role of parliaments and friendship groups in strengthening friendly relations and accelerating cooperation, Iranian lawmaker said holding bilateral and multilateral parliamentary meetings aiming to solve regional issues and removing obstacles are of great importance.
Hua, for his part, condemned US interventions in internal affairs of other countries, saying China has always been against such interventions.
Referring to US' unilateral sanctions against Iran, he said Iranian and Chinese ministries are trying to maintain good ties in banking and economic fields.
