MP: Sanctions make it difficult to access anti-Corona facilities

Tehran, April 29, 2021 (ICANA) – Iranian Member of Parliament in the Inter-Parliamentary Union slammed US unilateral sanctions against Iran, saying these sanctions are like a serious impediment that have made it difficult to have access to anti-COVID19 facilities.

Mohsen Fathi said the problems caused by the coronavirus are more serious in Iran than anywhere else.

The obvious reason is that unlike many other countries that enjoy free trade, access to general items, and easy and free access to COVID19 drugs and vaccines and related knowledge and services, Iranians should confront COVID19 and unilateral measures simultaneously.

Iranian government and people especially the youths are trying their best to0 control the situation, he added.

In time of coronavirus pandemic, various teams of volunteer youth were formed as health ambassadors to distribute anti-corona facilities such as masks, disinfectants and face protectors to people in poor or remote areas.
