TEHRAN, Feb 21, 2018 (ICANA) – Head of the Workers' Fraction at the Islamic Republic of Iran Parliament Ali-Reza Mahjoub says the Iran-Cuba parliamentary cooperation has a very important role in expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries in many domains.
According to the Islamic Consultative Assembly News Agency (ICANA), Mahjoub further told Cuban Ambassador to Tehran Alexis Bandrich Vega.in Tehran on Wednesday, February 21, that the Tehran-Havana ties have been in a very good level in the post-1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.
The Iranian parliamentarian said Iranian parliament is ready to support expansion of cordial relations with Cuba in various areas.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to expand all-out ties with Cuba as there are very good capacities for expansion of ties in many economic, political, social and cultural fields and the capacities should be activated in favor of the two nations.
"I hope we will be able to expand economic cooperation in pace with bilateral diplomatic relations so that both nations will benefit from its profits."
The Cuban Ambassador for his part said his country welcomes expansion of relations with Iranian parliament.
Bandrich Vega voiced pleasure with his Iran visit and underlined Cuba's endeavor to expand bilateral relations.
He said many economic and diplomatic delegations have .been exchanged by the two countries and "we are anxious with continued exchange of the delegations in the future."
He concluded, "Commercial and economic cooperation is the topic of interest to us and we welcome expansion of relations with Iranian parliament."
