Semnan, Oct. 12, 2017(IRNA) - Chairman of Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Thursday that Iran will give a tough and frank response to the US possible quitting the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Speaking to IRNA, he said the JCPOA is the prestige of all signatory countries, including five permanent members of the UNSC.
Over past 48 hours, the European countries took frank and tough stances towards allegations made by US President Donald Trump on the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, he said.
In another development, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with lawmakers behind the closed doors said that head of states in separate telephone calls have voiced their protest and objection to Trump's illogical move, Boroujerdi said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran within ratifications approved by the special committee in charge of supervision of the JCPOA will make required decision in line with the country's national interests, he said.
