Iranian MP condemns accusing IRGC of terrorism
Tehran, Oct. 10, 2017(IRNA) – A senior Iranian lawmaker condemned any attempt to accuse Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of terrorism and said the force will, as before, counter US' adventurism and terrorist activities in the region.
Chairman of Majlis (Iran's parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Tuesday, 'Any terrorist measure against the IRGC is considered meddling with Iran's national security and is strongly condemned.'
'By passing the anti-US' adventurism and terrorist activities bill, Majlis showed that, whenever dealing with national interest and regional security, it coherently supports all the national organization, especially the IRGC,' said Boroujerdi.
According to media reports, certain hard-line politicians in Washington are trying to blacklist IRGC as a terrorist group.
