Tajik Parliament Speaker Praises Irans Legislative Experiences
Speaker of Tajikistan House of Representatives, Shukurjon Zuhurov, said his country welcomes using the valuable legislative experiences of the Islamic Parliament of Iran.
Zuhurov made the remarks in an interview with FNA in the Tajik capital city of Dushanbe on Saturday in the wake of his visit to Tehran leading a 7-member Tajik parliamentary delegation.
Zuhurov said that during the six-day visit, the Tajik delegation is due to discuss possible grounds for further expansion of ties and cooperation between the two Persian-language speaking and neighboring nations.
The Tajik Parliament Speaker, who will visit Tehran, at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani, is scheduled to hold talks with some other senior Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister and the Head of Imam Khomeini Relief and Aid Committee.
"The visit by the Tajik parliamentary delegation to the Islamic Republic of Iran is mainly made with the intention of developing and consolidating Tehran-Dushanbe relations in various economic and trade arenas." Zuhurov stated.
"Reinforcement of parliamentary relations also tops the agenda of this visit," he continued.
"Given the fact that the Islamic Parliament of Iran stands as one of the progressive parliaments, the Tajik parliament believes that it should be proud of using Irans legislative experiences," he reiterated.
