TEHRAN,july 27, 2014 (FNA)- Chairman of the Iranian Parliaments National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi lashed out at Tel Aviv for violating the 12-hour ceasefire with the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, and said Israeli leaders should be tried as war criminals.
"These incidents showed that the Zionists are formally engaged in the genocide and massacre of the innocent people, specially the children and women, and these events are clear instances of war crimes," Boroujerdi said on Sunday.
He noted that Israel should be tried in an international tribunal for genocide and war crimes as well as massacre of the innocent people.
Boroujerdi noted that Israel in Gaza showed the double standards of the big powers on Human Rights, and said, "The best solution is the exit of the free countries of the world and the members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) from formations and bodies like the United Nations that condemn certain countries that do not have even the slightest Human Rights problems only under the US pressures, but have kept silent on the Israeli crimes in Gaza."
Israel has been pounding the blockaded Gaza for 20 consecutive days, killing at least 1,050 people and injuring more than 6,000 others.
Four out of every five Palestinians killed during Israels ongoing military offensive in Gaza have been civilians, including dozens of women and children.
