TEHRAN, Feb. 18, 2014, (FNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on all the Muslim states to find ways of soothing crises in the Islamic countries, and said Zionists are the only beneficiaries of the critical situation prevailing in the region.
"Is it acceptable that hundreds of thousands of innocent Syrian people live in tents after the Levants civilization and cities were destroyed and non-Muslims are now thinking about providing food and security for them? Is it appropriate for our dignity, as Muslims, that thousands of Syrian children are deprived of going to school?", Rouhani asked, addressing the 9th Meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Tehran on Tuesday morning.
He also voiced regret that the Muslim Palestinian people dont have even the basic living conditions and non-Muslims want to decide about their fates.
"Is it appropriate to the dignity of us as Muslims that the religion of compassion and affection is being replaced by Islamophobia?" Rouhani asked.
"Have we forgotten that the regime which has occupied Quds benefits from all of these crises and whenever Muslims in the region have been in conflict with each other, the Israeli policies have grown tougher and bloodier against Palestine and Lebanon?"
Iranian officials have on many occasions warned that the conflicts among Muslims and the crises in the Islamic countries would benefit the Zionist regime.
In relevant remarks in December, Head of Iran-Iraq Parliamentary Friendship Group Nasser Soudani underlined that the Zionist regime of Israel is the common enemy of all Muslims, including Shiites and Sunnis, and called on the Takfiri groups not to be the soldiers of Tel Aviv.
The Iranian lawmaker pointed to Takfiri terrorists as the arms of Zionism in the region that carry out operations against Muslims, the Islamic republic new agency reported.
Soudani added that Takfiri terrorists acts are aimed at strengthening the Zionists international hegemony by targeting solidarity of Muslims.
He further stressed that Zionists are angry with expansion of Iran-Iraq economic and political relations.
