Majlis vice speaker: US desperate in face of Iran
Tehran, Sept 1, 2014, IRNA - New US sanctions proved that it is desperate in the face of Iran and its alliesˈ successes in the region, Majlis Vice Speaker Mohammad Hassan Abutorabi Fard said on Monday.
Washington, once again, imposed a new wave of sanctions against Iranian companies and individuals despite the interim nuclear deal reached in November 24, 2013, between Tehran and the six major world powers.
Speaking at a local ceremony in Shiraz, he noted that recent developments in the region and defeat of the Zionist regime in Gaza war had made US officials desperate.
Referring to victories of the Iraqi and Syrian Armies in the fight against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (known as Daesh), the MP added that US did not predict defeat of terrorists in Iraq and Syria.
Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has admitted in her memoirs titled Hard Choices that the United States had a role in creation of Daesh.
