TEHRAN, Oct. 30, 2013 (FNA)- Zhang Dejiang, the chairman of Chinas Standing Committee of the National Peoples Congress (NPC), which is the countrys top legislature, in a meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani underlined his countrys enthusiasm for the further development of relations and cooperation with Tehran.
"Iran has highly good potentials in different fields and China is ready for more cooperation with Tehran," Zhang Dejiang said in the meeting in Beijing on Wednesday.
"We attach special importance to Tehran and the Chinese government seeks to deepen all-out ties (with Iran)," he added.
Similar remarks were uttered by Larijani who stressed Tehrans readiness for talks and cooperation with the Chinese officials "to strengthen bilateral relations".
Larijani, heading a high ranking parliamentary delegation, arrived in Beijing on Tuesday.
Upon arrival at Beijing international airport, Larijani was warmly welcomed by the top Chinese officials and Irans Ambassador to China Mehdi Safari.
Before meeting Zhang Dejiang, Larijani met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday, during which he underlined the need for the further expansion of all-out ties between the two friendly nations.
During the meeting, the Iranian top parliamentarian conveyed greetings of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to the Chinese president.
Larijani noted that the Supreme Leader has always advised officials to consider sustainable and all-out relations with China.
The Chinese President, for his part, welcomed the Iranian delegation to his country, and termed his recent meeting with President Hassan Rouhani in Bishkek as very fruitful.
He said the two countries have reached very good agreements in various scopes of cooperation.
President Xi underscored that Larijanis visit would positively affect mutual cooperation in the future.
