Dr. Ali Ardeshir Larijani was born in 1957 in a highly prominent religious family in Najaf( a religious city of Iraq) . His father, the late Ayatollah Haj Mirza Hashem Amoli, was one of the renowned Ulemas of Najaf and Qom (Iran) seminaries and a religious authority . Mr. Larijani is the son-in-law of Martyred Ayatolla Morteza Motahari. He is married and has two sons and two daughters.
