Tehran, March 10, 2020 (ICANA) - President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Ali Larijani underlined the importance of maintaining consultations with Muslim countries.
Larijani made the remarks Tuesday in separate phone conversations with Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim and Omani President of the Consultative Council, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal al-Maawali.
Larijani exchanged views with his counterparts on regional issues.
He also elaborated on the measures taken by Iran to fight coronavirus outbreak.
He added that establishing more cooperation and exchanging experiences will prevent spread of the virus.
Referring to regional development and crises, Larijani emphasized the importance of holding political consultations among Islamic countries.
Meanwhile, Marzouq al-Ghanim expressed readiness for fighting coronavirus.
He added that supplying equipment and establishing cooperation among neighboring states help accelerating the process to uproot the epidemic.
Khalid bin Hilal al-Maawali also underlined continuation of consultations over regional development, establishing security and stability in the region and the need to cooperation in fighting coronavirus.
