Tehran, March 11, 2020 (ICANA) - Special Assistant to the President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian underlined the importance of Iran-Turkey-Russia trilateral talks and preserving agreements made in Astana and Sochi.
Speaking in a meeting with Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Mahmoud Adnan, Amir Abdollahian described as positive meetings held between President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Ali Larijani, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and other officials in Damascus.
He also emphasized implementation of the agreements and developing cooperation between two countries especially in economic field.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Amir Abdollahian congratulated Syria over victories in line with fighting terrorism in Idlib, saying crisis will be settled through political solution.
Meanwhile, Adnan highlighted the importance of promoting economic activities and holding joint economic commission with regard to economic war waged by enemies of Iran and Syria.
He noted that recent victories have been made as a result of Syrian army’s sacrifice and Iran, Russia and Lebanese Hezbollah’s supports.
Syrian envoy went on to say that establishing cooperation in fighting coronavirus and taking advantage of Iran’s experiences are of importance.
