Iran, Ukraine discuss expansion of parliamentary ties
Moscow, Sep. 27, 2017(IRNA) – Iran's Ambassador to Ukraine Mohammad Beheshti Monfared in a meeting with Head of Ukraine's parliamentary committee on foreign affairs Anna Gopko on Wednesday discussed ways to expand parliamentary relations.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed different fields of cooperation between the two states, especially between parliaments of Iran and Ukraine.
Ms. Gopko welcomed expansion of mutual parliamentary cooperation and called upcoming visit of Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Head of Majlis foreign policy and national security commission Aladdin Boroujerdi to Ukraine 'very important'.
She said that the visits are so important and sensitive and the two countries should use such opportunity.
The two sides underlined doing necessary coordination for arranging the visits in the near future.
Ukraine by more than 603,000 square kilometers area located in east of Europe bordering Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova and its capital is Kiev.
