Iran Majlis seriously after pursuing Imam Musa Al-Sadr's fate
Tehran, Aug. 28,2017(IRNA) - Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission is after following up Lebanese-Iranian philosopher and Shi'a religious leader Imam Musa Sadr's fate who has disappeared in Libya, parliamentary official said.
Today's session of Majlis was held with the attendance of Imam Musa Sadr family, Head of Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday.
The session aimed at reviewing the latest conditions of the most famous figure of resistance in the region, Hosseini said.
Due to the recent political developments in Libya, grounds have been prepared for pursuing the issue, he added.
Imam Musa Sadr family called for holding a committee to follow up the issue through Libya since there is no evidence for his martyrdom, he noted.
Imam Musa al-Sadr who had disappeared in Libya in August 1978 was a Lebanese-Iranian philosopher and Shi'a religious leader from a long line of distinguished clerics tracing their ancestry back to Jabal Amel.
