Tehran, Nov 29, 2019 (ICANA) - Ecuador's Ambassador to Tehran Alejandro Ortega Almeida emphasized common stances between Iran and Ecuador in international community.
Speaking in a meeting with Special Assistant to the President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Ortega Almeida referred to recent unrest in his country happened in the wake of increase in oil price, saying foreign interventions have already been planned and are concerning.
Pointing to obstacles on reinforcing parliamentary relations between two countries, he said Iran and Ecuador enjoy common views with regard to respecting independence and sovereignty of other countries.
Meanwhile, Amir Abdollahian referred to friendly relations between two countries, saying Iran attaches importance to promoting relations with Ecuador.
Underlining the cooperation capacities between two countries, he said the Islamic Parliament of Iran hails reinforcing bilateral cooperation.
He described situation in Middle East and Latin America as sensitive.
He also alluded to US interventionist measures, saying both sides will be able to observe a new chapter in their cooperation.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Amir Abdollahian said Iran considers Ecuador as a friend in Latin America, adding that they have common and closer views.
Iranian official welcomed exchanging parliamentary delegations between two countries.
