Senior MP urges US to send message of peace not missiles to region
Tehran, Apr. 13,2017(IRNA) – Chairman of Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi recommended the US government to send message of peace and friendship to the region instead of missiles to help region attain sustainable security.
Addressing the 77th ceremony marking Pakistan National Day in Esteghlal Hotel on Wednesday, he said that the two countries’ ties are deep-rooted and unbreakable.
All their officials have visited each other’s countries and Iran’s policy is based on further development of bilateral relations, he said.
Referring to the evil phenomenon of terrorism afflicting the region, Boroujerdi said that Iran’s policy is to seriously counter terrorism, in the hope that peace and sustainable security will be established in the region, particularly in Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen, at the earliest.
