TEHRAN,Mar. 26, 2017(FNA)- A senior lawmaker underlined that the Iranian parliament will take reciprocal measures against Washington for its recent anti-Iran moves in coming days by disclosing the supports granted by the US army and CIA to the terrorist groups.
"Given the US unfair treatment of Iran, the Iranian parliament will propose a new bill in its first meeting after the New Year holidays in the country," Head of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said.
Boroujerdi underlined that as the US army has been involved in numerous crises in the region, including in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, and also by bearing in mind the broad range of supports it is providing to terrorist organizations, it has become a de facto supporter of terrorist groups that are killing the innocent people in the region to put into practice the secret operation of the US and the US intelligence organizations in the region.
"The Intelligence Organization of the US and the US Army are provide full-fledged support for the terrorist organizations," the senior Iranian lawmaker said.
In relevant remarks earlier this week, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif warned that the country would take up its previous path of nuclear advancement if the US continues violation of the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and the world powers.
"If the US creates a situation that continuation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) would damage Tehran’s national interest, then Iran is completely ready to come back to the situation it had prior to the JCPOA even more powerful than before,” Zarif told reporters in the Central city of Isfahan.
“As it was said by the Supreme Leader (of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei), Iran is committed to the promises it has made and is not to break them," he said.
“During the past couple of months, with the efforts made by the skilled Iranian scientists and experts, we have succeeded to make operational the most advanced centrifuges that were just an idea at the time of approving the JCPOA,” Zarif stressed.
