Majlis speaker calls for more economic exchanges with Bangladesh

Tehran, Mar. 28,2017(IRNA) – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani urged further economic and parliamentary cooperation with Bangladesh, saying the two should also strengthen their banking interactions.

Larijani made the remarks here on Monday in a meeting with the Bangladeshi Ambassador to Tehran Majibur Rahman Bhuiyan.

In the meeting, Larijani called for making use of the existing capacities in the two countries in order to remove the obstacles to Iran-Bangladesh ties.

In different global and regional issues, Tehran and Dhaka have had good relations, said Larijani, adding the two should not let such a growing process be interrupted.

He further referred to the parliamentary interactions as the important part of friendly ties between the two countries.

For his part, the Bangladeshi diplomat expressed his country’s willingness to develop close ties with Iran.

Bhuiyan added that the government of his country supports any move to boost relations with Iran.

Also, he went on to say, the private sector in Bangladesh is very interested in having trade and economic exchange with their Iranian counterparts.

Dhaka attaches great importance to its ties with Tehran in line with stabilization of peace and tranquility in both the world and region, Bhuiyan noted.
