Tehran, May. 6,2017(IRNA)- Manipulating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) could give rise to new issues, Majlis (Parliament) Speaker said on Saturday, stressing that Iran would be committed to the landmark agreement.
Pointing to 'some disputes in the US regarding JCPOA', Ali Larijani added that the agreement met Iran's least demands, but it should be remembered that manipulating it could generate new issues.
He affirmed, however, that Iran would be committed to the agreement whatsoever.
Majlis Speaker also said that the issue of terrorism in the region is not completely closed, due to the behaviors of some countries.
He pointed out that two other sensitive issues in the region are those of Yemen and Bahrain, on which a small mistake could transform the whole situation.
Some regional players' behavior has caused misunderstandings, therefore, it is not perceived clearly that the warmongering conflicts are decreasing, he said.
Larijani who was speaking at the 22nd International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Exhibition, noted that Iran is located in an oil and gas-rich region, so our situation influences the other countries' behavior.
The exhibition May 6-12, was opened in a ceremony on Saturday morning. The ceremony was attended by Larijani, Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh, some Majlis members, authorities of the oil sector, and representatives of some 4,000 local and foreign companies at the International Exhibitions venue in Tehran.
