TEHRAN. Apr 24, 2017(FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani deplored the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, stressing Tehran's support for the Afghan nation in the fight against terrorism.
In a message to President of the Lower-House of Afghanistan's National Assembly Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi on Monday, Larijani extended his condolences to the Afghan government and people over losing their beloved ones in the terrorist attacks.
"I am willing to stress the Islamic Republic of Iran's all-out support for the neighboring and Muslim country of Afghanistan's government and nation in the war against terrorism and establishment of sustainable security and tranquility," he said in his message.
A day after 140 Afghan soldiers were killed on Friday allegedly by Taliban attackers in the Northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif, a huge explosion was reported in Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province.
A report suggested that casualties were feared in the attack that took place on the roadside.
The blast took place a day after attackers wearing military uniforms entered the Afghan military base and killed over 140 soldiers, which is said to be the deadliest strike ever.
