TEHRAN,Apr 09, 2017(FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén in a meeting in Tehran underlined the need for broadening of mutual cooperation, specially in trade and economic fields.
During the meeting in the Iranian capital on Saturday, Larijani and Semjén explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral ties to increase the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries.
"Both sides have an interest in improvement of parliamentary and economic ties, specially now that conditions are set for increasing trade transactions with Hungary," the Iranian parliament speaker said.
Larijani said that a joint economic commission should deal with capacities of cooperation after the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), specially in industry and trade fields.
Semjén, for his part, underlined that Iran has high capacities to attract investments by Hungarian companies.
"Hungary remained in Iran's side during hard times of the nuclear sanctions and in the EU, we supported positions which would favor Iran," the Hungarian deputy prime minister said.
"We welcome broadening of relations in agriculture and new energies," Semjén added.
In relevant remarks on Wednesday, Semjén voiced his country's willingness to broaden mutual cooperation in different areas with Tehran.
"My country is interested in boosting mutual cooperation with Iran," Semjén said.
He reiterated that the two sides will expand their mutual cooperation in different fields in the near future.
“At present, Hungary is willing to expand cooperation with Iran in the political, economic and cultural fields,” Semjén said.
He reiterated that the high-ranking Hungarian delegation will hold a joint meeting with President Rouhani and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani On Saturday April 8.
